Below you will find a list of fees for the services offered by the Nottinghamshire Registration Service. All prices are inclusive of VAT where appropriate.

A deposit or full payment is required for all ceremonies and formations.

Not all ceremonies and services are available every day at each of our registration offices. For more details, please contact us.

Registrar and ceremony service fees 2026 - 2027

Giving notice of marriage or civil partnership

Monday to Friday - £46.50 (per person)
Saturday - £61.50 (per person including £15 booking fee)

Please note this is not a deposit towards your ceremony.

Statutory ceremonies

You can have a standard ceremony for either a marriage or a civil partnership.

These take place at Nottinghamshire Register Office, Worksop:

Wednesday only: £62

Standard ceremonies

You can have a standard ceremony for either a marriage or a civil partnership.

These take place at registration offices:

Monday to Thursday: £175
West Bridgford Registration Office - Tuesday mornings only
Arnold Registration Office - Thursday mornings only
Nottinghamshire Register Office, Worksop – mornings only
Newark Registration Office - Monday and Thursday mornings only
Mansfield Registration Office - mornings only

Enhanced ceremonies

You can have an enhanced ceremony for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies as well as naming and renewal of vows ceremonies.

These can take place at either registration offices or approved premises, also known as licensed venues.

Enhanced ceremonies at Worksop and Mansfield registration offices:

Monday to Thursday: £265
Friday and Saturday: £385
Sunday and Bank Holiday: £505

Enhanced ceremonies at Newark, West Bridgford and Arnot Hill registration offices:

Monday to Thursday: £305
Friday and Saturday: £415
Sunday and Bank Holiday: £540

Enhanced ceremonies at approved premises (licensed venues):

Monday to Thursday: £515
Friday and Saturday: £575
Sunday and Bank Holiday: £695

Ceremony rehearsal discussion

These can take place either in person at the office or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Registration offices only (Monday to Friday): £40

Payment for your ceremony rehearsal discussion is taken at the time of booking the appointment.

Signing of a civil partnership schedule

At main registration offices - Monday to Friday only: £62

Conversion of a civil partnership to a marriage with a ceremony

Stage one - providing information to the registrar and checking evidence at any main Registration office: £33
Stage two - signing the declaration during a Standard or Enhanced ceremony (see listed above).

Conversion of a civil partnership to a marriage

This is a short appointment to provide information and sign documents at the Register Office, Worksop or any main registration office.

Standard conversion of a civil partnership to a marriage: £55

Registrar attendance at a religious building

Registrar attendance at a religious building: £114.50

Certificates

All certificates: £12.50

Passport PD2 form countersigning (when applying for a new passport in your married name)

All main registration offices (Worksop, Newark, West Bridgford, Arnold and Mansfield Registration Offices): £30

Please note:

If you have booked your honeymoon abroad and in your new name, remember to change your passport.
The registrar can sign your passport application document (PD2), which enables your name change to be completed prior to your marriage. For more information on the process please contact us.
